Unlike other desktop chat clients, TeampPoint integrates directly into the most common work environment – the users’ browser. TeamPoint uses the same foundational technology as Google Wave©: XMPP.

This means that there’s zero deployment to users’ desktops*. Just install TeamPoint into your SharePoint 2010 environment and you’re ready to go!

This allows users to work seamlessly with their project related milestones, documents, and tasks without having to jump between different applications. Multi-user chat enables teams to work and collaborate in real-time, without stuffing mailboxes with long email chains; say goodbye to “reply all”!

real-time updates

TeamPoint goes beyond just chat and integrates with SharePoint to deliver real-time status and updates to the browser.

This means that there’s no more waiting for team members to email you when they’re done – all of the action is directly channeled to the TeamPoint Huddle where every member of the team has visibility to progress and status of the project.

Because TeamPoint has no client footprint, it’s easy to deploy and manage.

All components are packaged into a single, easy to deploy SharePoint solution that deploys using simple PowerShell scripts or our easy-to-use installer.

Settings are configured right in the SharePoint interface using simple SharePoint lists.

TeamPoint uses basic SharePoint artifacts for most SharePoint functionality – lists, content types, document libraries, views, and so on.

This means that TeamPoint is non-intrusive; the content types can be easily extended and customized to fit the needs of any team right in the SharePoint interface.

Tasks, milestones, and documents are just like any other SharePoint artifact and can be accessed directly through the default SharePoint interface.

Existing reports can be modified by simply editing the SharePoint view associated with the report. New reports can be added by configuring custom views in SharePoint – right through the browser interface or using SharePoint Designer – no need for developers!
